Programmed Fuel Injection. Map-type computerized system maintains strong power and responsive performance in all conditions. Combined Brake System. Actuates both front and rear brakes when the rear brake pedal (or lever) is engaged, for a smooth and confident balance of braking control.

At its heart sits a liquid cooled, 4 stroke, 16 valve, DOHC inline 4 cylinder engine with a displacement of 649cm3. The engine generates a maximum power of 64kW at 11,000 rpm and 63Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm. The engine’s power is controlled by means of a six speed transmission.

The CB650F engine can rev, with a claimed 86 hp arriving at 11,000 rpm and a peak torque value of 46 foot-pounds reached at 8,000. Thanks to internal water channeling from head to cylinders, the number of hoses has been reduced.

Honda, interestingly, placed the oil cooler on the left front and the oil filter on the back of the engine to help accommodate those cool 4-into-2-into-1 pipes, which sweep back to the right and flow into a stubby underslung muffler that helps with mass centralization.
