This is the maintenance schedule with associated service intervals for the 2015-2016 Kawasaki Ninja 650 and Ninja 650 ABS.

Previously introduced as Ninja 650R in 2006 but drops the R suffix from its name in the 2012 model. Built to embody Ninja® sportbike lineage, the Ninja® 650 motorcycle comes packed with a sporty 649cc engine, next-level technology, and sharp styling.

This maintenance schedule applies to the following models:

The new Ninja 650 has been reworked from nose to tail though, and varies heavily from its R-embossed predecessor, with sharper lines and more emphasis on comfort and usable power. Torque increases 5 percent below 7000 rpm while fuel economy is said to improve by 10 percent.

General information about the 2015-2016 Kawasaki Ninja 650 and Ninja 650 ABS

The 2016 Kawasaki Ninja 650 is an amiable motorcycle that can be called in for commuter and touring duties at a moment’s notice. The twin-cylinder motor has ample torque, making it easy to go fast in the real world of public roads. The highly visible off-center spring-preload adjustable rear shock gives the Ninja 650 a unique look.

The 2016 Kawasaki Ninja 650 is propelled by a strong and compact 649 cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC, 48-valve, parallel-twin. Its power is kept on a leash by a modern six-speed transmission that delivers smooth and precise shifts. The stopping power is assured by dual 300m petal-style discs w/ 4-piston calipers and a 220mm petal-style rotor w/ 2-piston caliper.

The 2016 Kawasaki Ninja 650 colors are Candy Lime Green/Metallic Spark Black, Candy Persimmon Red/Metallic Spark Black, and Metallic Carbon Grey (standard only). It is available for MSRP $7199; $7599 (ABS).
